cut|tle|fish «KUHT uhl FIHSH», noun, plural -fish|es or (collectively) -fish.
a saltwater mollusk having ten arms with suckers, two of which are especially long, and a hard internal shell. The cuttlefish is related to the squid. When frightened, one kind of cuttlefish squirts out an inky fluid, which is the source of sepia.
